The 15th edition of the Valencia Boat Show will be international and will increase its exhibition space by 30%.
- The show meets its objective of internationalisation, with the direct presence of shipyards
- The nautical industry perceives the Valencian event as a space for growth
- The event will have an exhibition area of 47,221 square metres.
With less than a month to go before the doors open for its 15th edition, the Valencia Boat Show, Valencia’s international boat show, has confirmed a 30% increase in the number of exhibitors and brands present, which has led it to expand the exhibition space at La Marina de València.
From 23rd to 27th October, the main brands in the sector will be in Valencia to present their latest products, from boats to engines, accessories, electronics, technological solutions, equipment, services and activities. An event for lovers of the sea and its sports, whatever their level of immersion in the nautical world.
The interest of the exhibitors, in a particularly important year for the Spanish nautical sector, has led to a 30% increase in the number of companies present, leading the organisers to extend the exhibition area, which this year will occupy a total of 47,221 square metres: from the historic Tinglado 2 to the Plaza de l’Ona, located between the Veles e Vents building and the old Alinghi base.
The Valencia Boat Show will have three different zones according to the type of product and public they are aimed at. The Darsena area, in Tinglado 2, will be free to enter and will present the range of nautical activities, boat hire, clothing and accessories, clubs, federations and a special area dedicated to nautical tourism, as well as a conference area and a children’s area, where the little ones will be able to enjoy different activities.
Next, in the Plaça de l’Aigua, will be the Bocana area, the successful new feature of this edition, dedicated to industrial boating, professional services in the sector, engines, marinas and ports, refit & repair and boat maintenance. Finally, Mar abierto area, with the largest surface area, will feature the full range of boats for sale and shipyards, both dry and afloat. Access to these last two areas is by invitation or payment.
Internationalisation: objective achieved
This year, for the first time in its history, the event has taken on an international dimension with the direct presence of shipyards such as San Remo Boats, Rodman and Karnic, which will join the wide range of brands that will be represented by their distributors.
“The direct presence of international shipyards opens a window of growth that represents the starting signal for a great project for the future. The sustained growth of the event, the presence of international brands and the great interest in the industrial boating area reveals that the sector itself perceives the Valencia Boat Show as an ally for its growth. This event has unlimited possibilities and I believe that this year we have taken a very important step to promote it,” says Isabel Gil, director of the Valencia Boat Show and president of the Union of Nautical Companies (UEN).
