The Valencia Boat Show and the Federació de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana join forces to spread the word about sailing

The Federació de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana joins the event as a collaborator and will celebrate the presentation of the Blue Pennants of the Red de Escuelas de Vela Homologadas de la CV during the event.
The Valencia Boat Show and the Federació de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana (FVCV) have joined forces with a common goal: to promote sailing and spread the word about sailing among Valencians and visitors. To this end, the director of the 15th Valencia Boat Show, Isabel Gil, and the president of the FVCV, Carlos Torrado, have signed an agreement by which the federation becomes a partner of the boat show, which will be held from 23 to 27 October at La Marina de València.
In this way, as well as publicising the event among its members, the Valencian institution will hold the awarding of the Blue Pennants of the Network of Approved Sailing Schools of the Valencia Region as part of the Valencia Boat Show and will organise activities for the general public.
The Blue Pennants are the distinction and recognition of those Sailing Schools in the Valencia Region that, during the season, have complied with the methodology of the Blue School Project, supporting and promoting care for the environment.
“The Valencia Boat Show and the FVCV have a long and fruitful collaboration that we have renewed today through this agreement. Both entities are united by the common goal of promoting sailing and disseminating the sport of sailing from the grassroots level, promoting its sustainable practice, eliminating stereotypes and offering the opportunity to enjoy a first experience in the framework of the boat show. We once again welcome the Valencian federation as an official partner of the Valencia Boat Show,” says Isabel Gil.
“This is a very important year for the nautical sector in Spain and undoubtedly for the Valencia Boat Show, which is the only major boat show held in autumn in our country. That is why I think it is very important to join forces with everyone to maximise the results and the dissemination of this event,” says the president of the Sailing Federation of the Valencia Region, Carlos Torrado.
For several editions, the Valencia Boat Show has had the participation of the Federation of the Valencia Region, which organises activities for everyone, such as free sailing trips and prize-giving and awards ceremonies, as well as publicising its proposals and activities among visitors to the event.
From 23 to 27 October 2024, the Valencia Boat Show will present a wide selection of boats, accessories, services and activities from the sector’s leading brands in a large open-air exhibition at La Marina de València, which will have an area specially dedicated to marinas and ports and the nautical industry.
The event will have three areas: the “Darsena” area, in Tinglado 2, will be free to enter and will bring together tourist destinations, nautical activities and training; the “Bocana” area, accessible by entrance or invitation, will bring together yacht clubs and marinas, with the nautical industry playing a leading role, including everything from sailing boats to equipment and sustainable green hydrogen solutions; and the “Mar abierto” area, which will showcase the exhibition of boats afloat from the sector’s leading brands.
