The 15th edition of the Valencia Boat Show closed its doors today with a very positive balance and a total of 26,332 visitors over its five days. From 23rd to 27th October, La Marina de València brought together the main companies in the nautical sector who presented a wide selection of dry and afloat boats, engines, accessories, services and activities, and was attended by important people for the event and the sector, such as Jordi Carrasco, director general of the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN) and members of the Union of Nautical Companies (UEN) and the sailing and rowing federations of the Valencian Community.

The event, which in 2024 has been the only major event for the sale of new boats in the state autumn calendar, has grown by 30% in space and exhibitors and has had more than 150 brands and more than 140 boats from major national and international shipyards in its dry and afloat exhibition. In addition to the exhibition, the event also featured a full schedule of activities including sea trials, presentations, tributes, talks and the 2nd International Blue Economy Congress.

Objectives achieved, continuity and growth
The director of the event, Isabel Gil, who is also president of the Union of Nautical Enterprises (UEN), was very satisfied with the development of the event, which, she said, has met all the objectives. ‘The response of the exhibiting companies has been impeccable, and also that of the visitors, because despite the rainy days we have had more than 25,000 visitors’.

‘After the success of this edition and the experience of past editions, we are developing a strategic work with all the agents involved to achieve a substantial growth in the next editions, as this show meets all the conditions for it’, said Gil.

Interesting visitors and contacts
The exhibitors also rated the event positively, since, although the rain gave little respite, there were interested visitors and contacts were made. ‘We have felt very comfortable with the organisation, as the whole Valencia Boat Show team is always ready to provide support,’ says Rodolfo Armengol, manager of BSN Marine. ‘This year the weather has been a bit complicated, but as soon as we have been able to enjoy more pleasant weather, the influx of people has increased, receiving constant visits,’ he added.

‘We have been coming to the Valencia Boat Show for fifteen years now and we are delighted to continue, and hopefully for another 15 years. It has been quite positive, we are surprised. We know that interesting people always come, people who buy and this year too. We are working on some very interesting topics and I think we will make transactions, which is a very positive result for this show,’ said José Luis Naturil, CEO of Pleamar, distributor of De Antonio boats.

The Valencia Boat Show is promoted from the sector itself by the Unión de Empresas Náuticas (UEN) and organised by Quicksail, Valencia Mar and Ajuntament de València, with Renfe as official transport and with the sponsorship of Visit Valencia, València Turisme (Diputació de València) and Helly Hansen. The event is also grateful for the institutional support of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, the Clúster de Empresas del Deporte de la Comunitat Valenciana promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana, the Federació de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana, Transvia Sport, Panorama Sports and Yatco.
