by | Oct 25, 2024 | 2024, Valencia Boat Show

  • Sailing clubs, boat rental and nautical experiences
  • The Sailing Federation of the Valencia Region brings the sea closer to people with disabilities
  • Tomorrow, Saturday, the event has a full schedule of activities for all audiences

The Valencia Boat Show, València’s international boat show, brings together in a single space the exhibition and sale of new boats, engines, accessories, services and nautical activities and, at the same time, is a platform to bring the sea closer to the public, whatever their level of knowledge and experience in sailing.

The Darsena area of the event, which is free of charge and located in Tinglado 2 of La Marina de València, offers a first approach to sailing. The Rowing Federation of the Valencia Region offers free trial classes inside the dock and Saudade Sailing Club offers sailing trips and sailing practice. Also in this area you can find sailing schools such as Greenwich or the Escuela Náutica Alisios, as well as nautical activities, boat hire, clothing and accessories, clubs, federations and a special area dedicated to nautical tourism.

The FVCV with inclusive sport
As part of the agreement signed with the Federation of Adapted Sports of the Valencian Community FESA, the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community has set up an inclusive access point to the sea on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, where people with disabilities attending the Valencia Boat Show can go sailing free of charge.

Sailing without a boat
Sailing clubs are a very popular option for those who wish to enjoy days at sea under sail or motor, as they offer the possibility of having boats available by the hour or by the week for a monthly fee. The Valencia Boat Show brings together this year the proposals of Freedom Boat Club, Proaclara, Setsail, Windward, as well as Velas Blancas Club and Saudade, which add training in meteorology or regattas among their value-added proposals.

Visitors will also be able to find the boat rental offer or, as it is known in the sector, nautical charter, with companies such as Quicksail, which has the only hybrid electric sailboat for rent in the Valencia Region or Rumbo Norte, which in addition to renting in the Balearic Islands offers unique experiences crossing the Atlantic.

Nautical tourism, on the scene
The Valencia Region is a leading nautical destination, and visitors to the Valencia Boat Show will be able to discover all the options on offer thanks to Turisme Comunitat Valenciana. Visit Valencia and Alboraya have also joined the Valencian event to offer information about the many options on its Mediterranean coasts.

Presentations, award ceremonies and tributes
The day’s agenda included the presentation of the 8th Escala a Castelló, the seafaring festival to be held from 24th to 28th April; the official presentation of the Marina de Valencia III Desafío 100 Paladas Solidarias Suma Contra el Cáncer de Mama regatta and the III Desafío por la Igualdad and round table on rowing, organised by the Federación de Remo de la Comunitat Valenciana (Rowing Federation of the Region of Valencia); the tribute to the Dragon Boat Marina Valencia paddlers by Anavre; and the presentation of the Blue Pennants of the Network of Approved Sailing Schools of the Region of Valencia.
