Valencia Boat Show hangs up the full sign
- More than 120 national and international nautical firms will be present
- 47,221 square metres of exhibition space and a record number of boats
- First show to incorporate AI and advanced digital technologies
The international boat show in Valencia, Valencia Boat Show, has closed registrations with a ‘full house’ for the exhibition space at La Marina de Valencia. The event, which will be held from 23 to 27 October, will feature more than 120 national and international nautical brands, including major firms such as Aquila, Azimut, Bavaria Yachts, Bayliner, Beneteau, De Antonio Yachts, Dufour Catamarans, Excess Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot, Hanse Yachts, J Boats, Karnic, Makai, Maxim Yachts, Mercury, Navan, Nimbus, Princess Yachts, Rio Yachts, Rodman and San Remo boats, among others.
For this 15th edition, which coincides with a particularly important year for the sector, in which Valencia will be the only major new boat sales event on the national autumn calendar, there has been a growing interest from exhibitors and brands, which has increased by 30% and has led to an increase in exhibition space.
Record number of boats
Pending confirmation of the last units that will be present at the event, the boat show is expected to have a record number of boats on display both dry and afloat, with units ranging from 5 to 35 metres in length.
As every year, one of the great attractions of the boat show is the possibility of sea trials with the boats on sale. Interested parties can make an appointment with the exhibitor for a test run on the water before making a purchase decision.
First show with AI service
In its 15th edition, the Valencia Boat Show has also integrated the latest digital technology to enhance the exhibitor and visitor experience. Thanks to the collaboration of the company Make it Automate, the show offers an artificial intelligence assistant on its website available 24/7 that provides information related to the event and is able to answer frequently asked questions, guide users in navigating the platform and offer details on schedules, locations and activities.
The show has also incorporated an automated intranet where exhibitors can autonomously and efficiently manage all aspects related to their presence at the show, as well as a dynamic interactive floor plan, where exhibitor information and available spaces can be viewed in real time.
‘At the Valencia Boat Show we are committed to innovation in all its aspects, both on the nautical side focused on a lower environmental impact and improved performance and comfort, as well as through technology that offers a simpler experience for exhibitors and visitors. In addition, by fully automating processes that previously required personalised attention, the organising team has been able to focus on improving other key aspects of the show,’ says Isabel Gil, director of the Valencia Boat Show and president of the Unión de Empresas Náuticas (UEN).
Alliance with the half marathon
The Valencia Boat Show, which coincides with the Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Valencia Half Marathon, has joined forces with the great running event, and is offering free access to the paid areas of the exhibition to all participants who show their bib or wristband for the event, contributing to offering a unique sporting event over the weekend.
At the same time, to facilitate the arrival of visitors from Madrid and Barcelona, the Valencian boat show has an agreement with Renfe which, for yet another year, has become the ‘Official Transport’ of the event. Thus, all AVE, Avlo and long-distance tickets between Madrid and Valencia issued from 1 September to 27 October will include an invitation to visit the Valencia Boat Show, and exhibitors, visitors and collaborators of the Valencia Boat Show and their companions can benefit from special discounts on long-distance tickets.
