  • Outings to the sea, talks, presentations and a children’s area with games of skill
  • From 23 to 27 October at La Marina de València

The Valencia Boat Show, Valencia’s international boat show, will open the doors of its 15th edition tomorrow, Wednesday at 10 am, to offer five days at sea for everyone. With an exhibition divided into three zones according to the nautical experience and interests of each visitor, the event combines the exhibition and sale of boats, engines, accessories and nautical activities with its commitment to the promotion and dissemination of the culture of the sea and its sports.

The event’s agenda will include free sailing trips by Saudade Sailing Club and a rowing boat from the Valencian Rowing Federation, which will also be organising a free functional training session with rowing machines in collaboration with Valenfit on Thursday 24 October. And, in addition to the tests and activities at sea, Autosida Grupo Palacios will be offering test drives of the DS Automobiles and Alfa Romeo brands on all five days of the show.

Likewise, thanks to the talks, presentations and conferences, visitors will be able to learn from the Oceanogràfic Foundation what to do if they find a marine animal in trouble, discover what the Escala a Castelló project consists of, find out about the new Maxus sailing club, broaden their knowledge of strategies, techniques and key manoeuvres in a regatta with Saudade Sailing Club, pay tribute to the Dragon Boat Marina Valencia paddlers and learn more about sea rescue from Anavre. The little ones will also be able to take part in a fun and educational activity about underwater life and the protection of the seas with the Fundació Oceánica.

Visit the patrol boat Formentor
Once again this year, the Navy will be present at the Valencia Boat Show, with the patrol vessel Formentor (P-82), a ship based in Cartagena, which will be calling at Valencia as part of the maritime surveillance operations that the vessel regularly carries out along the Mediterranean coast.

During its stay, between 22nd and 26th October, the ship will offer open days to publicise its duties and capabilities, bringing the Navy closer to the public, and can be visited by the public in the North Marina, next to the Veles e Vents building, on 23rd, 24th and 25th October from 16:00 to 19:00 hours. Students from several schools in the Comunitat will also receive their baptism at sea aboard the Formentor.

The FVCV with inclusive sport
The Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community, which renews its longstanding commitment to the event, will set up an inclusive access point to the sea on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as part of the agreement signed with the Federation of Adapted Sports of the Valencian Community FESA.

In addition, as part of the official agenda of the Valencian boat show, the FVCV will also celebrate the presentation of the Blue Badges of the Network of Approved Sailing Schools of the Region of Valencia and has organised a ‘School Half Marathon’ with the students of the autumn course.

Puerto Grumete: the new children’s area
For the first time, the Valencia Boat Show will have a specific area for children, under the name of Puerto Grumete, where the little ones will be able to enjoy games of skill and ingenuity with a monitor, organised by Espectáculos HM and Culthisme, who will also be offering a batucada and stilt-walker show on Saturday afternoon.

Saborit: gastronomy and leisure area
The leisure and gastronomy proposals will be concentrated in Saborit, a space managed by A’Napule, where you will be able to taste the famous Joe burger, the maverick’s with Miguel Martin’s gourmet hot dog, the Neapolitan pizza made in A Napule’s wood-fired oven, as well as Mediterranean specialities and show cooking of pasta and paella. The area will feature cocktails by Legendario, Aperol tasting, DJs and live music every day.

The Valencia Boat Show offers five days to experience the sea. From 23rd to 27th October 2024.
