The terrace of Real Club Náutico de Palma today hosted the presentation of the next edition of the Valencia Boat Show, within the framework of the Copa del Rey MAPFRE. The event was attended by the director of the show, Nacho Gómez-Zarzuela; the manager of La Marina de València, Germán Gil, and the manager of the Real Club Náutico de Palma, Jaume Carbonell.
The Valencian event will celebrate its 11th edition from the 30th of October to the 3rd of November with a completely revamped format, which will strategically combine the exhibition and sale of new boats and engines, accessories, chandlery and marine services with a wide offer of activities ranging from film screenings with sea themes, talks and nautical activities, to concerts and live music.
Recovery of the Alinghi base
The Valencia Boat Show is recovering for its next edition the former Alinghi base, one of the emblems of world sailing, to give a new nautical use, hosting sections and parallel activities of the show dedicated to innovation, marine tradition and sustainability.
The headquarters of the Swiss team for two editions of the America’s Cup will host, in the next edition of the Valencia Boat Show, various activities such as film screenings with a nautical theme, talks and meetings of the sector, as well as two new sections dedicated to marine industry 4.0 and sustainability.
Leading brands of yachts and motorboats
As announced by the director of the event, Nacho Gómez Zarzuela, the presence of the main brands of sailing and motor boats is already confirmed for the next edition of the Valencia Boat Show. They will present their new boats on dry and afloat, offering prospective buyers the possibility to try them at sea before deciding on a model.
In addition to the fleet of new boats from the leading international shipyards, the event will feature a wide range of engines, accessories and marine services, which will be complemented by the full offer of parallel products and activities that will be free and open to the public.
Anniversary of La Marina de València
La Marina de València is celebrating this year its anniversary coinciding with the Valencia Boat Show, and as announced by the manager of the Valencian dock, will feature displays of sailing, fishing, windsurfing, the III Gastronomic Regatta, music and activities for the whole family.
“It is wonderful to be able to present this new edition of the show at the most important sailing event in the country, which has some of the best boats and racers in the world”, the director of the show, Nacho Gómez-Zarzuela, said today. “I hope everyone can come this autumn to the Marina de València to enjoy the festival of the sea that we have prepared”.
