ANEN

ANEN (Spanish National Association of Nautical Companies) is the leading trade association representing Spain’s recreational boating industry, bringing together more than 90% of the sector’s business and industrial network. Its members include companies, regional boating associations, marinas, recreational boating facilities and other industry organisations. ANEN works to represent and defend the interests of its members and of the recreational boating sector as a whole, engaging with public authorities to promote a legal, tax, labour and administrative framework that supports competitiveness, investment and business growth. The Association also plays an active role in promoting recreational boating as a high-quality, sustainable form of tourism, while helping to strengthen the sector’s visibility, reputation and contribution to the economy and society. Since its foundation on 19 January 2006, ANEN has established itself as a key industry voice in Spain and internationally. Its active participation in the main forums and organisations related to recreational boating has helped foster closer cooperation with public administrations, institutions and other key stakeholders across the sector. At international level, ANEN is a member of European Boating Industry (EBI), where it has held the Vice-Presidency since 2019, and of ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations), two of the leading organisations representing the recreational boating industry in Europe and worldwide. In Spain, ANEN is also a member of the Spanish Maritime Cluster (Clúster Marítimo Español – CME) and the Spanish Arbitration Association.
