Hempel's Conversion Primer is a two-component epoxy that allows for an easy conversion from antifouling to Hempel's advanced biocide-free antifouling protection. It can be applied over old antifouling in good condition.

It is a high solids volume product based on silicone resins used as a tie coat for Silic One 77450 or to repair damaged areas. It ensures adhesion between Light Primer 45551 and Silic One. Usable for all types of substrates, except wood, below the waterline.

Hempel's Silic One is a biocide-free coating, with high solids content and fouling release properties. Based on silicone, a micro-layer of hydrogel provides a smooth, low-friction surface that prevents organisms from adhering to the hull and propellers. The service life of Silic One on the hull is 2 years.
