About this exhibitor

A MEDITERRANEAN TO SAIL Almost 600 kilometres of coastline, an extensive network of ports and marinas, and exceptional natural conditions make the Valencian Community one of the Mediterranean’s leading nautical destinations. From Vinaròs to Pilar de la Horadada, the region offers facilities for recreational and sporting boating, as well as a wide range of activities including sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing and motorboating. The diversity of its coastal landscapes and Mediterranean climate make it possible to enjoy the sea all year round. But the Valencian Community’s relationship with the sea goes far beyond sport. Valencia, Alicante, Dénia, Castellón, Benidorm, Torrevieja and Xàbia are among the destinations that have developed a strong nautical culture and offer facilities capable of hosting everything from recreational boating to major international events. La Marina de València, for example, currently has more than 800 berths and brings together clubs, companies, federations and activities connected with the sea. This strong nautical vocation is also reflected in a top-level sporting calendar. The Valencian Community has hosted historic events such as the America’s Cup and the start of the Volvo Ocean Race from Alicante, and continues to establish itself as an international stage for sailing and water sports. In 2026, Valencia took another step forward with the arrival of the Spain Sail Grand Prix for the first time. On 5 and 6 September, the city hosted a round of the Rolex SailGP Championship, featuring spectacular F50 catamarans capable of speeds of over 100 km/h. The event, which positions Valencia as a host venue for the global circuit, is also expected to continue over the coming years. The arrival of SailGP strengthens an identity that Valencia has been building for decades: that of a city and a region with deep ties to the sea, capable of combining maritime heritage, nautical tourism, innovation and elite sport. A destination where the Mediterranean is not simply a landscape, but also a place to sail, compete, explore and enjoy all year round.
